AIA New Hampshire is committed to supporting students who seek a career in architecture. Each year the chapter awards several scholarships in amounts from $500 - $5,000 to worthy New Hampshire students who are studying in-state or at colleges and universities across the country.

Eligibility

In order to be considered for an AIANH Architecture Scholarship a candidate must:

1) be a New Hampshire resident. 

2) be currently enrolled in, or have been accepted to, an undergraduate or graduate professional degree program accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB),

or, attend the Keene State College Architecture Undergraduate Pre-professional program or the NHTI, Concord’s Community College Architecture Engineering Technology program. 


Application Process

To apply for a scholarship, submit these materials to our online portal:

You will need to create an account on Submittable before you can start your submission. You can save your application as a draft while you work on it. We will not see your application until you have submitted it. 

1. Application form 

2. A one-page letter describing your accomplishments, any professional experiences in the field of architecture (internships, grants, volunteer, work) and your goals 

3. Two letters of reference from teachers, employers, or community members. 

4. One of your designs with explanation of your rationale for the design. This should include enough information to give the committee an idea of your work, and include site plans, drawings, sketches, etc. if appropriate. If you worked with others on the project, indicate what parts are your work. 

5. Two free-hand sketches. 

6. Official transcript from current school or school from which you have just graduated.
